Anne-Marie Te Whiu is an Australian-born Māori, belonging to the Te Rarawa iwi in Hokianga, Aotearoa NZ. She is a writer, weaver and producer who has received a Next Chapter Fellowship.
Anne-Marie edited Tony Birch’s Whisper Songs and Bebe Backhouse's More Than These Bones and co-edited Solid Air: Australia & New Zealand Spoken Word. Her debut poetry collection titled Mettle will be published by UQP in February 2025.
Anne-Marie co-directed the Queensland Poetry Festival. Currently she produces the Fair Trade project at Red Room Poetry and also a co-producer of the Writers Program for the Aotearoa NZ International Arts Festival.
