BECOMING OURSELVES: POETRY AND PROSE READING
WHERE: Taman Dedari, G6FW+X2G, Kedewatan, Ubud, Gianyar Regency, Bali 80571, Indonesia
COST: $48
Start: 6:30 pm (local time)
Taman Dedari, set high above the mist-veiled Ayung River valley, is a sacred site where, as local lore tells, angels once descended to bathe, witnessed by the sage Rsi Markandeya. In this sanctuary, where the lush jungle meets the quiet expanse of the sky, he found a moment of profound stillness. It is fitting, then, that we gather here in the shadow of the angels for an evening dedicated to our own becoming. Through poetry and prose, writers have long asked: who am I, and what am I still becoming? Becoming ourselves is not about building something new; it is about uncovering what was always there, waiting in the silence. Join us for a literary reading spanning genres, as we come to know ourselves through our stories and the echo of the valley around us.
