ANDI STEWART
Andi Stewart is a performance poet living in Melbourne after being a fixture in the Hobart poetry scene. His work is a conglomeration of rap, hip hop, rhythm, and classical poetry, often focussing on themes of queer Christianity, LGBTQ issues, and privilege. He ran Hobart’s local slam competition WhamBam-SilverSlam! and represented Tasmania at the Australian Poetry Slam National Final in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He is the current APS National 2nd-Place Champion. To Andi, poetry has become a lifesaver and a platform for social change. He takes joy in sharing his love of poetry with others through workshops and performances.
