KELLY DOUGLAS
DEPUTY CHAIR & SECRETARY
Kelly is the General Counsel at Médecins Sans Frontières for both Australia and for New Zealand. Having previously managed the legal function for Lifeline and its related entities, she has also spent over a decade in the private sector as a legal advisor to some of the most recognised brands in Australia and worldwide.
Appointed to the board of Word Travels in the first half of 2020, Kelly has been involved with the organisation since 2010, alongside other volunteer work in the climate action, conservation and Indigenous rights spaces.
Kelly manages the governance, regulatory and compliance aspects for Word Travels, and is proud to be able to add her skills to further the organisation's mission. Kelly supplements her legal training with qualifications in both journalism and public relations; which included a year spent learning the power of storytelling from Australian author and former editor of Rolling Stone Australia magazine, Andrew Humphreys.
