Kirsten Booker

 Aboriginal Cultural Liaison

Kirsten Booker’s vast skillset and experience base has been developed by working over many years in and around the NSW education and Aboriginal Community Organisational sectors. This work has been done whilst always living and operating within grassroots Aboriginal community spaces. Kirsten maintains that her work as a proud community advocate has always been deeply grounded within her Dunghutti heritage; this continues to inform her passion for helping those around her and assisting and upskilling those within community that are most in need.

Kirsten has worked for the Department of Education in roles such as Aboriginal Education Officer, Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer, Strategic Project Officer and in Executive Support and Advisory roles for the Aboriginal Outcomes and Partnerships School Reforms directorate.

Most recently Kirsten has worked with the NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG Inc.) to formally streamline their Connecting to Country program across NSW as the AECG State Program Manager.
