Rob Waters is the 2023 Australian Poetry Slam Champion and a Gomeroi man from North-West NSW. A poet, storyteller, playwright, cultural educator, and spoken word artist, Rob has been sharing his stories for over 20 years. With a B.Ed. In Adult Education, he has worked in spaces such as grassroots Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, NSW Local Government, and multiple higher education institutions, primarily within capacity building and community development roles.
Rob is a proud father and grandfather, and he also has a soft spot for dark chocolate, good music and sitting under trees.
