Loose Threads is Arantza García Ferrand's debut poetry collection, a tightly knit blanket of stories and memories about growing up as an immigrant in Australia. In between her illustrations and pictures of family, Arantza braids the loose threads of her life to address themes of race, familial love, and sacrifice. Included are her poems ‘Nine Suitcases and a Pram’, and a ‘An Ode to Her’, which won her the Australian Poetry Slam National Champion title at Sydney Opera House in 2025.
