Boy Renaissance

Renowned for their ferocity, penny-drop presence and vulnerable activism on stage, 'Boy Renaissance is an award-winning performance artist whose work pushes the genre of performance poetry to unprecedented edges. Boy has won numerous competitions nationwide including the Bellingen Reader Writer’s Festival Slam and Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup, and has toured their work across numerous major events such as Melbourne Writer’s Festival, Melbourne’s White Night, and Midsumma Festival. Their self-published play in prose, Author and Melody, was released in 2017 with high acclaim, and their poetry short-films screened across Australia. Boy currently trains with internationally acclaimed physical theatre company Zen Zen Zo, while studying psychotherapy, dedicating their time to creating art that is healing for the LGBTQIA+ community.
