Rataj Abdullah

Rataj Abdullah is an 18-year-old spoken word artist and community organiser from Gumbaynggirr Country in Coffs Harbour, now residing in Sydney. Rooted in her Eritrean heritage and lived experience as a young Muslim woman, Rataj’s work weaves together poetry, activism, and personal storytelling. She explores themes of identity, displacement, collective grief, and radical hope—often drawing from her involvement in the climate justice movement, anti-racism work, and youth organising.
