WOMEN'S POETRY SLAM
WHERE: Indus Restaurant, G733+89Q, Jl. Raya Sanggingan, Kedewatan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia
Start: 8 pm (local time)
UWRF Women Poetry Slam returns with the theme Light and Samarasā, inspired by this year's Festival theme. Through poetry, we hope to spark awareness, empathy and action around gender equality and rights, spirituality and the everyday fight against injustice. Over the years, Festival artists have explored women's bodies, spirituality, sexuality, the environment, nationality, justice and much more. The slam also warmly welcomes queer, transgender and trans women who identify as puan (female), as both participants and guest performers. At a time when LGBTIQA+ people still face persecution, we want to offer a safe space where our friends can shine on stage.
